Foot health is a very important aspect of overall well-being at any age. If your feet are not happy, you tend to be less active. Feet are like the roots of a tree. They ground you and are the basis of your balance.
The Diana James Wellness Clinic provides basic foot care by appointment. The clinic staff are professionally trained. The services include soaking of the feet, trimming and shaping of the toenails and reducing callouses and corns. Lotion is applied to the feet at the end of appointment.
First time appointment is an hour to accommodate an assessment of the feet and treatment required. Cost of the first treatment is $70.00 for Kerby members and $80.00 for non-members.
Follow up appointments are booked every 6-8 weeks depending on your needs. Cost of follow up appointments is $30.00 for Members and $40.00 for non-members.
Please note that fingernails can be trimmed and filed for an extra $5.00 with the foot care visit, not as a separate service.
The clinic has a selection of health products and gently used medical equipment for sale.
Clients leave our clinic with “Happy Feet”.
About Diana James
Diana James was born in England and adopted by a Canadian couple who lived a pampered life in Japan before being forced to leave Japan in 1941 when they returned to Canada. Diana was a RCAF Flight Sargent attached to the operational intelligence unit and stationed in England for part of her service. She did not marry – nor have children. She enjoyed watching her twin sister’s children grow up.
Diana worked at the General Hospital as a forensic photographer and she traveled the world. We are blessed to have her original writings of some of her trips as she kept summaries of each of them.
Diana’s relationship with Kerby is delightful! She was an excellent pool player and she was for many years the only woman playing. AND she was so good she always won – so the men tried to sneak in and play without her, but somehow she knew and she would come in and whoop them!
In Diana’s will she was very kind to Kerby. She left her estate of $1.4 million dollars to Kerby Centre and it is our honour to dedicate a small portion of the funds to update the Wellness Clinic to the Diana James Wellness Clinic.
