Food Rescue Program
Food Rescue is a program to save edible food from going to landfill from various food providers across the city. We have a dual goal: to prevent environmental waste and to redistribute rescued food to address food insecurity for older adults in our community.
Drop-in Bread Markets for Seniors in the Gymnasium
Every Tuesday and Friday between 10:30 am and 12:00pm, drop by to grab some baked goods and other rescued food. See our monthly market calendar below for reference!
Also we are holding markets throughout the city, so please check the location on the calendar.
Our external markets in our community are a part of our ever-expanding Food Security Program for seniors – with food rescue being a large mechanism of sustaining the program.
