What You Need To Know About The Risk of Infectious Disease For Older Adults And How To Protect Yourself

Presented by Dr Angel Chu, MD, FRCPC

Clinical Assistant Professor, Cumming School of Medicine; Infectious Diseases Specialist; Medical Director STI Clinic Calgary; Vice-Chair Immunize Canada

We will discuss why older adults are at higher risk of infections and the role of vaccines in preventing infections and diseases. We will also review which vaccines to get, why and how to get them to protect and maintain overall health.

We will discuss infectious diseases that affect older adults, such as Influenza, Shingles, Pneumococcal, the various immunizations you should be aware of to help maintain your good health and how to access them
