Providing answers and solving problems is the focus of Information/Advocacy. Information is available on topics such as pensions, legal issues, government services, grants, home help, consumer affairs, transportation, congratulatory messages, and much more.
Everyone is welcome to access information by telephone, fax, e-mail or on a drop-in basis. An appointment is recommended for forms assistance or extended inquiries.

Alberta Seniors Information Centre: Information and assistance with Alberta government programs for seniors. This includes Alberta Seniors Benefit and Special Needs Assistance.
Legal Appointments: Volunteer lawyers provide legal advice by appointment six afternoons per month. There is no charge for the initial consultation but follow-up services, such as will preparation, may be billed.
Commissioners for Oaths available to witness affidavits and statutory declarations.
Workshops held regularly on topics such as wills, personal directives, and funeral options.
Tax Assistance: Volunteer assistance with income tax in March and April by appointment. No charge. Income limits are $30,000 per single and $35,000 per couple.
Calgary Seniors Directory of Services: An annual publication sponsored by Kerby Centre and the City of Calgary. Copies are distributed free of charge at major supermarkets such as Calgary Co-op, Safeway. Also seniors' centres, libraries, banks, and the Kerby Centre.
Contractor referrals for cleaning, yard work, snow removal, home contracting and much more.
Advocacy: Assistance to seniors who need support and representation when dealing with contractors, government agencies or businesses.
